Help & contact
Something not working, an idea for a game, a bug in a reveal? Write to contact@spotonarena.com. Tell us your phone model and the version of the app (shown in your store), and we will answer as soon as we can.
Parties
How do I start a party?
On one phone, tap Host a party. A 4-letter code and a QR code appear. The others tap Join and type the code, or scan the QR code with the app or with their camera. Everyone needs the app installed.
How many players?
From 2 to 12 phones. Some games need more players: Group Up needs at least 5, and The Clap, Count to Twenty and Lowest Unique need at least 3. The lobby shows how many players each game needs.
Do my friends need to buy the full version?
No. Guests play every game the host deals, for free. Only the host needs the full version to deal the paid games.
Do I need an internet connection?
For parties, yes: every phone needs a connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). Solo modes work offline.
Someone's phone locked or they left the app.
A player who leaves the app during a round forfeits that round, to keep it fair, and is back in for the next one. If the host leaves, another connected player takes over automatically. Keep the screen on and stay in the app while you play.
The party code does not work.
Codes use letters and numbers without 0, O, 1 or I, so they can't be confused. A room can no longer be joined two hours after it was created: start a new party.
Games
Why is there no timer or counter on screen?
That is the game: you act blind, then everything is revealed. Nothing moves or ticks on screen during a round, so that nothing gives away the answer.
A tilt or motion game behaves strangely.
Hidden Angle, Air Pencil and The Bomb use your phone's motion sensors. Remove a thick case if it gets in the way, hold the phone as shown in the brief, and make sure it is not in a power-saving mode that limits the sensors.
How are scores computed?
Every game scores from 0 to 1000 depending on how close you were, so you can mix games in one party. In some party games the score also depends on the others: your rank, surviving The Bomb, finding the same number as nobody else.
Purchases and ads
I bought the full version but it is locked on my new phone.
Open the full version screen and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by the stores. On iPhone, go to reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android, see Google Play refunds.
How do I change my ad consent?
In the app, go to Practice → Privacy and ads. There are no ads during parties, and none at all with the full version.
Your data
How do I delete my data?
Your solo history only lives on your phone: uninstalling the app deletes it. To delete what a party stored (nickname and scores), write to contact@spotonarena.com with the party code and your nickname. Details in the privacy policy.
